Game notes 5/23/2010
Assaulted by 5 were-rats and a rat-sorc. Rat and T1, T2, T5 got away. Rat was arcane marked by our sorc.

Upon arriving to the ruins it is eerily quiet. We find 5 total bodies (first has boots +5 movement w/ a taint.) 4 humans 1 tiefling. Two large wolves attacked from a hole in the ground. Rogue crit the first wolf which has one con bleed (will eventually die.) 2nd wolf died to a punctured lung. Investigating the hole in the ground showed a double door and two chambers (where the wolves came from.) Door has some divination and transmutation magic. Appears to help the door slide easily. Door opens to a large cavern filled with voices. Cavern is 12’ +. Fireballed the first group of hobgoblins (6). Two other groups of hobgoblins. Weapons drawn appear to be of Atenaar (c12) family . A larger otyugh entered into combat. Otyugh bit the sorcerer and he got diseased (rolled a 6.) A demon like hobgoblin entered the battle. He wears a breastplate. A camouflaged individual entered the fight. Otyugh bit the ranger who failed and was diseased (rolled a 6.) S1, S2, and king got away. All of the hobgoblins died as well as the otyugh pet. Found a box with some sort of press. Press shows seal of asmodius.
5000 gold worth of stuff. (split 800 to each, 200 to party.)
Cure light x4 d8+2, 18 potion of bless (1st lvl caster)
Met up with hell knights and advised them that we fought White Chin. He and 2 other hell knights take us away to discuss business. Advised that we found the press. When the press is pulled out it radiates Evocation magic (medium str)

Game notes 5/16/10
Four days have passed. Our fame has attracted business owners to our neighborhood. The group will be able to bring in specific businesses that we’re seeking. The merchants are coming from Corvosa and claim the rulership has gone mad. Over the next few days population has noticeable increased. Received the invite to the party on the island to house Mezinas.
On eve of 3rd night the group experienced a dream. We were summoned, although only the tieflings were actually drawn. We were c ompelled to fight a shadow creature. At the end of the spell Mark lost some health and he stole away the effects of a potion.
Trade routes for Rosalla were pushed up to house Arvanxi. They will likely spread some of that out to their families. On the 5th after leaving we decided to head back to the ruins. On way we located a skiff in the water (sunk). There was a fair amount of debris broken and laying in the water. Located a strange open door on the side of the canal. Worker hammering to fix the door frame. Noticed an additional character across who had some magical auras. He seemed suspicious and bolted when the sorcerer entered as well. He slightly changed form as he went to bite to gain some rat features. The ratman sounded out to let others escape.
Loot: +1 Cloak of resistance (Jandri), Boots +5’ movement (Don), +1 Magic dagger
We returned to the scene where the 3 boats were broken. Commander Phandros took the bodies away and we advised the workers that were left about the were-rat issues. Phandros is with the Ditari. We located Phandros and advised him of the wererat infestation down the way along the canal. Brought Phandros back to the apartment building to show that it’s been happening longer than the last couple of days. Dead were rat is also a member of Nolman family.
Took large barge from the apartment to set up a ruse to be attacked on the canals. While on the canal at night a dark object flew over us (it looked almost like a manta ray that flew over the boat. Shortly after the boat was breached on the side. Group has buff of Resist Energy (Mass) from a scroll for 50 minutes (fire.)
