Regarding the vote, I like the idea of action dice. The luck score itself I think should be modified. The roll is enough without a modifier. With no modifiers it makes it easy to determine success. Want a very low chance? 19-20 required. Easy? 5-20.
i like the old system of luck. everybody has a score 'cause some people are just luckier than others. just play poker with troy if you want an actual example!! :)
Now you are just being unfair to Tony, you know he has no natural luck. The luck our characters have is not ours. The die is just a random number and should have no pattern, no way to show that someone is luckier than another, that is where the luck modifier comes in. The unecessary part may be in the stat it self, a mofifier would suffice.
Well, the luck modifier has been generated in the past by the players rolls. Therefore they get stuck being unlucky for their modifier AND unlucky for their rolls. Double your pleasure, double your fun?
still like the roll with a modifier. it's a way to play out the luck. the DC will still be the same(5-20 for easy, 19-20 for hard say)but you will have a better chance to make than with just the die roll.

ReplyDeleteYeah, but their natural luck is in the dice, why compound it with a modified score ;)
