Divinations

Kieran Rufano this post cost money! This will represent some information and visions gained from divinations, some you cast yourself, others were gained when you and Red studied the book. The picture in the post is the vision you have when you asked to see the one who summoned you and red.  Your divination's require a sacrifice of 300gp.

Kieran and Red stared down at the coalescing picture, surprised as the images took form..and moved.  For a moment both are startled, thinking that the face staring back at them could see them.  It soon became clear that they were viewing and hearing the man via the magic of the book.  The man that stared at them, his face was covered by a black mask, that only upon closer view could you see the fine mesh, like a fencer's mask.  Speaking, it was unclear if someone else was in the room or he was caught up in a personal moment, speaking aloud.  "It is a difficult path, to know that there are others, who keep the secret, who serve blackfinger, and yet they are unknown to me."

A different voice spoke, its tone low, its timber rumbling, "You have been blessed with many secrets, none of the others of which you speak, have ever been granted an audience."  Stepping into view this new individual was a strange sight, humanoid but lion headed. "Well none had seen me till now." he roared, and quickly moved towards the page Kieran and Red stared at.  Unable to help yourselves, both of you jumped back and like that the images were gone.

  1. Well now, this is certainly interesting. Let's see...hooded face, throne made of skulls, secret keeper...and serves a "blackfinger".

He's obviously one of the good guys.

To clarify, everything in Paragraph two appears to be spoken from the man with the black mask and all of the communication from the guy in paragraph three appears to be coming from the lion-headed guy? I just wanted to be sure because I could see some of the comments being switched around depending on context.

  2. Well Travis your choices are thus:

    A) Make it as difficult as possible and confuse the pronouns. Assume that while you saw visions and heard voices what you heard doesn't have to match what you saw or the way its written.

    B) Take it at face value and assume that I was trying to communicate in a creative manner and that the pronouns are properly placed and refer to the individuals indicated in each paragraph.

  3. I assumed it was B, but I also could see the figure on the "throne" make a statement that was included in P3, which is why I asked. I'll continue with the assumption that lion dude was talking in p3 and face mask dude in p2.

  4. The figure on the throne is the character in paragraph 2. I.E the figure on the throne is not a 3rd unknown, unmentioned character.
